Rava is a cloud-native HR and Payroll platform purpose-built for Bermuda. It is designed for payroll administrators, HR managers, and finance leaders at Bermuda organizations who want accurate, compliant payroll without the spreadsheet juggling. From insurance firms to hotels to government agencies, Rava adapts to your sector.
Most teams go from first conversation to first compliant pay run in under three weeks. Onboarding and data migration are a one-time service our team runs for you: company configuration, employee import, current-year history, and your first pay run. See the pricing page for what that service costs.
No. Rava is designed so that a new payroll administrator can run their first compliant pay run without specialized training. Every page has contextual help. Patty, our in-product AI assistant, answers questions in plain English and walks you step by step through any workflow.
You run payroll in Rava, and it is built to make that easy. Rava does the heavy lifting: it calculates pay and statutory amounts, flags anything unusual before you finalize, and produces your bank files and filings. Patty is on hand for questions, and our team can help if you want more hands-on support.
Weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly. Each pay group can run on its own schedule.

A company is any entity with its own government tax ID that has employees in a finalized pay run, and the base fee is per company. The base plan covers up to 50 employees, and each employee above 50 is $8 per employee, per month.
The pricing page always shows the current list. Available today includes data migration, the developer API, and custom services. Capabilities like time and attendance, employee self-service, leave management, and accounting connectors are in development and rolling out through 2026. We mark what is coming so there are no surprises.
The base plan includes up to 50 employees. Above 50, each additional employee is $8 per employee, per month. Nothing about how Rava works changes; your bill simply reflects your team size.
Rava supports Bermuda's payroll regulations. Payroll tax is calculated automatically by a purpose-built engine, covering all bands, the BMD 1,000,000 wage cap, and new-hire, senior-employment and disability relief. Requirements like social insurance, health and pension are set up as standard deductions and applied every cycle, your A-M employer classification drives the right rates, minimum wage is validated, and Rava produces your quarterly PT (PR-1) filing and government forms. See the Bermuda Compliance page for the full list.
Rava auto-generates the government's exact Excel format from your payroll data. You review, approve, and file. No spreadsheet juggling, no formatting work, and a full audit trail of every figure.
Today Rava supports BMD. Additional currencies are in development and planned for release in 2026. Payroll tax is always calculated in BMD regardless of the payment currency.
Yes. Rava records each employee's Bermuda status (Bermudian, PRC, work permit, or spouse of a Bermudian), along with work permit number, category, and expiry, and it keeps a history of status changes.
Rava prepares your quarterly payroll tax (PR-1) return from the payroll you have already run, in the government's format, and validates it. You review and submit. Rava does the assembly and the math, so filing becomes a quick review rather than a scramble.
Yes. Rava supports multiple companies under one account, with clean separation between them, and you can copy setup from one company to the next to get a new entity running quickly.
Rava turns a finalized pay run into a payment file formatted for your bank, today Butterfield, HSBC, and Clarien, and validates it against that bank's format before you submit, so payments are not rejected. Employees are paid by direct deposit.
Today, payslips are delivered to employees securely by email, password protected. Employee self-service, where staff view their own payslips and update their details, is on the roadmap.
Patty is the in-product payroll assistant who looks up real employee data and proposes changes inside Rava. Iris turns plain-English questions into reports. Both respect your role-based permissions and never apply changes without explicit human approval.
Patty can propose changes with a clear before-and-after preview, but no change is applied without your explicit human approval. Every AI interaction is logged with a full audit trail.
No. The AI operates within your existing role-based permissions. It cannot see or modify any data that you cannot see yourself. AI requests are scoped to your account with full multi-tenant isolation.
No. Your payroll data is used to answer your questions and run your payroll, not to train AI models. Every AI interaction stays within your account, under your role-based permissions, with a full audit trail.
Customer data lives in Microsoft Azure's Canada region. AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, Azure Key Vault HSM for secrets. See the Trust Center for the full security architecture.
SOC 2 Type II is in progress. The policy framework is established. Rava inherits Microsoft Azure's certifications (SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001/27017/27018, FedRAMP) for the underlying infrastructure.
Seven years, immutable. This meets Bermuda statutory retention requirements out of the box.
Yes. You can export your data at any time. Your records are retained for the seven years Bermuda requires and handled securely throughout.
Access is role-based. You give each person the right permissions, and the AI operates within those same permissions, so no one, human or AI, sees data they are not authorized to see. Every change is logged.
Yes. Migration is a one-time service we run for you: we import your YTD balances, map your existing GL to Rava's chart of accounts, validate everything, and support the cutover. Includes migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP.
